I will often refer to this concept in plainer language, such as “we do not live in the same world”, “what planet are you on” etc. “Wicked universality” is the term Bruno Latour coined to describe the position or state of affairs in which we now find ourselves, whereby 1) we now occupy different worlds at the same time, as instead of universally progressing from one paradigm into another, we have instead found ourselves branching off into at least seven different paradigms at once; 2) within this fragmented world, there is a disconnect between the world we legally and affectively identify as our own, and the world that is necessary for our subsistence, and thus 3) we are all in one way or another homeless, and it is this homelessness that shapes our political struggles. Latour has been a very influential philosopher for my work, so it’s possible that he will come up elsewhere in this list. Person: Bruno Latour
